Fair Trade Coffee: A change in standards

Does a pound of Starbuck's "fair trade" coffee and a pound of Equal Exchange's "fair trade" coffee benefit small farmers to the same degree?  Not since January, 2012 when Fair Trade USA (FTUSA), the key fair trade certification body in the U.S. split with Fair Trade International (FTI) in Bonn, Germany, the group which sets the standards for fair trade labeling.
