Laudato Sí Week

It is my hope that this Encyclical Letter, which is now added to the body of the Church’s
social teaching, can help us to acknowledge the appeal, immensity and urgency of the challenge we face.” (LS, 15)

We are now in Laudato Si Week!  At the one year anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical for the care of our common home, we as the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word though our Office of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation join the celebration on the one year anniversary of Laudato Si by hosting a series of Workshops on Sustainability in various cities in the countries in which we are present.

We invite you to bring into your personal, communal, or family prayers, so that more people join this effort, by asking the question “What does Laudato Si inspire me to do?”  Sharing these responses will help to continue strengthen our response to the cry of the earth.

The Sustainability Workshops have already begun.  We are grateful to the Sisters, Associates, and Collaborators that have already participated in St. Louis, MO and Lima, Peru.  Thank you always for your presence and for taking this message of care of creation into your daily lives.

Remember that you can still participate in the Sustainability Workshops provided for the CCVI family including: Sisters, Associates, Missionaries, and Collaborators.  Join a workshop and add your voice to helping us decide on a Congregational Action for the Care of Creation!
