El Paso Diocese Committed to Care for Creation through its Public Pledge

El Paso celebrates Laudato Si' 10th anniversary by signing the pledge to care for creation through Laudato Si' Action Platform.  It announced the pledge on May 25 in Saint Luke Catholic Church with its presider Bishop Mark Seitz.  He emphasized the creation that is under threat evidence by the reality of it.  He used the Scriptures to invite people to reflect on our duty to care for our common home and that we are not the "lords" or master of the earth.

El Paso is the first Texas diocese to complete the first three steps of the Laudato Si' Action Platform.  It also joins Austin Diocese and San Antonio Archdiocese that made a pledge to care for creation, now among the thousands of organizations who are sharing wisdom and mission to care for all with a concrete steps.
