URGENT ACTION: Monday, February 4 - Interfaith call-in day to prevent gun violence

LCWR, NETWORK, and CMSM are among a long list of faith-based organizations who are part of Interfaith Call-In Day to Prevent Gun Violence.

Since the mass shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, over 1500 more people in the U.S. have been killed by guns.

The violence has got to stop.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "The time is always right to do what is right."

On MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4, people of faith in the U.S. are asked to contact their members of Congress and urge the following:
*  Require universal background checks for all gun purchases
*  Ban semi-automatic assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
*  Make gun trafficking a federal crime
*  Improve access to mental health services.

THE CALL-IN NUMBER, WHICH WILL BE ACTIVATED ON FEBRUARY 4, IS 1-888-897-0174.

Learn more about the call-in day at the FAITHS CALLING WEBSITE.
