International Committe Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (IC-JPIC) |
Beloved Sisters, Associates, Missionaries, and
Collaborators: we share with you all that we, the International Committee for
Justice, Peace, and the Integrity of Creation, met in Mexico City from
September 18-21st; where we continued to discuss and develop the
committement of the 2014 Congregational Chapter: 'to take on the risk of a
corporate and profetic stance in favor of justice, peace, and the care of
creation.”
Our days were full of community building,
organizing, listening, and reflecting on how the Body of Christ is suffering in
the world today, and how we are called to respond by word and action in
collaboration with the Congregation, with other Ecclesial bodies, and with
society. We finalized our proposed
Corporate Stance against human trafficking that will be sent to you all in the
months to come for review and approval.
We also developed an annual plan to guide us in our mission and work
together. We left with a commitment to
continue communicating the news of each country about peace, justice, and the
care of creation through our blog. Our time together has given us renewed energy in
our collective work to be more profetic in relation to justice, peace, and the
care of creation, and we look forward to continuing to live out that mission
together with all of you, wherever you are in the world! Thank
you for your support and prayers always.
