Undocumented students find refuge, support at Catholic colleges

Lack of action on immigration reform has had an effect on Catholic college presidents. "It's been frustrating to have it so politicized," says one.
Catholic universities are offering a place of refuge for undocumented students. Kudos to ISN institutional member schools Fairfield University, Loyola University Chicago and Santa Clara University for the mentions they received in this Catholic News Service article.
However, the DACA status that has allowed these students to study without fear of deportation may be in jeopardy. In July the U.S. House voted to end DACA and some U.S. Senators are suggesting that DACA status should be cut as part of a continuing resolution on the federal Budget.
You can read about these Senators' perspectives in an article from POLITICO at: http://politi.co/1qfnJLQ
And don't forget to hear the perspective of #Jesuit university students and graduates who currently have DACA status: http://bit.ly/1tIWriv
