Fasting Day

Every December 10th we remember the Universal Human Rights Declaration.  It is a day of remembering the ongoing struggle of living together on this earth, respecting one another's human rights and human dignity.  All people have the right to a clean and healthy environment.  We are all called to care for God's creation and protect this human right.

As such, the Congregational JPIC Office of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word are encouraging a Day of Prayer and Fasting throughout the Congregation and sponsored ministries this December 10, 2015.  Each person, community, family, organization, or institution is invited to participate wherever you are, by taking time for prayer and fasting.  We encourage all who participate to offer the money they saved through fasting to the Congregational office in their country to be used for a communal project in the care of creation.  We hope you will join us!  We will send out additional information about how/where to send your donation soon.  Please contact us with any questions at: jpic.office@amormeus.org
