This week of action will be full of opportunities for Texans from every part of the state and all backgrounds to make our voices heard about the ways that the rapid expansion of data centers is harming communities and the environment. There will be a combination of in-person actions to take - at the Capitol or wherever you live - and things to do from the comfort of your home. RSVP to the week of action and we'll send you details about each activity. You can participate in some or all, as you are able.

Skills Training: How to Testify and Lobby at the Legislature

Monday, July 27
ACTION:
9 AM Press Pause on Data Centers Rally at the Capitol RSVP
10:30 AM Testify at the Senate Finance Committee hearing and/or email committee members asking them to eliminate all state and local tax incentives for data centers.
RSVP for free breakfast and lunch before and during the hearing
Email the Finance Committee members to ask for an end to tax breaks for data centers.
Tuesday, July 28
ACTION: Urge Governor Abbott to call a special session to consider a moratorium on data centers. Also call on the Lieutenant Governor, your Texas State Representative, and your Texas State Senators to ask them to support a special session on data centers.
Email Governor Abbott and your other state elected officials now.
