Los Obispos de la Iglesia Católica en Ecuador, movidos por nuestra misión pastoral de animar, acompañar y orientar al Pueblo de Dios desde el Evangelio, queremos contribuir a la reflexión sobre las relaciones de los seres humanos entre sí y con el resto de la creación; tarea en la que también están empeñadas varias instituciones y organizaciones civiles, sociales, educativas y religiosas, así como muchos hombres y mujeres de buena voluntad.
De una manera muy especial, nos proponemos ofrecer algunas orientaciones pastorales que permitan continuar con el diálogo sobre la minería en nuestro país, un tema tan delicado, complejo y controvertido.
Para una mejor claridad, indicaremos algunas realidades de nuestro planeta, una síntesis de la visión cristiana de la naturaleza y los compromisos que debemos asumir en el cuidado de la misma. LEER MÁS
