The #Ferguson Kids!

Six black kids from Ferguson, Mo., have gone viral with a recent YouTube video about racism. The video is blunt, sarcastic and in your face. These kids are doing their best to educate white America about the racism that still exists in our world.

  1. Engage Session 6:”Trying it out” Structural violence (114) states that a high-power group or organizations have better access to resources, safety, and goods. This inequality that is stated by these kids is due to racism, and the recent tragedy at Ferguson. The power-over (115) is a good example of what the kids are trying to achieve. Motivation through fear and achieve a value to society. Discrimination occurs daily and must be minimized to allow compassion that leads to equal rights to all. When trying to start a career and Ethnic people being denied cause of race shows how prejudice some people can be. Voices need to be heard and will be heard to stop people from discriminating and unfortunately be racist to one another.
