Laudato Si' Movement North America through its network and friends asks to mail or communicate to US (Arch)Bishops to let them know your support to the following:
- Mass for CreationWrite our own (Arch)bishop(s), letting them know that we will be praying for them and the Conference as they discern and vote on the Mass for Creation at their June 10-12 meeting/USCCB Assembly for Spring. Please mail your letter or express your support of the Mass for Creation with the intention that the Bishop will know your thoughts before he goes to Florida along with other Bishops.

- Synodal Listening Session during the Season of CreationBefore June 15, please remind your (Arch) Bishop of the synodal sessions about the Season of Creation (Sept 1 - Oct 4)
The goal is to host at least one synodal listening session during the Season of Creation with a deadline to reach out to the bishop/auxiliary bishop by June 15 to get this on the calendar. Reports must be filed no later than mid-October to be included in the national report going to the bishops' meeting.

The Global South Manifesto is supported by Bishops from Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Oceana. It is asking the Global North to support the three pillars:
a. non-proliferation and phase-out: Immediately cease all new exploration and production of coal, oil, and gas. Authorizing new fossil fuel infrastructure is unethical and locks us into outdated practices. A global, legally binding framework is needed to stop new projects and to manage the decline and phase-out of existing production.
b. fair phase-out: Equitably phase out current production based on each nation’s historical responsibility and capacity. This must prioritize the common good and protect the livelihoods of the most vulnerable populations.
c. Global just transition: Ensure a fair and inclusive shift to renewable energy, leaving no worker, community, or country behind. This requires supporting economic diversification, the large-scale deployment of renewable energy, and re-skilling and employment opportunities, as well as social protection for men and women in the new economy, and the inclusion of impacted men and women in transition planning.
