Society today is so complacent and comfortable with the lifestyle today, that even if individuals know something is wrong, they will not try and fix it. Laziness has a huge impact because individuals sit around and just "wait". It has gotten to the point that society has stopped caring about situations, and especially if it'll have no effect on them, they will quickly look the other way.
